Both the actors started their careers from theatre, worked in Marathi and Hindi Films and Television in their careers. Their contribution to Marathi Cinema is immense. We lost Laxmikant Berde early, but every now and then when we watch 'Zapatlela' and 'Ashi hi Banvabanavi' Movies on TV, we feel that he is still alive and making us laugh. NO SANJAY DUTT IN 'SHOOTOUT AT WADALA'
'Shootout at Wadala' movie is based on first ever encounter by Mumbai Police in 1982. 
A B.A. graduate from Kirti College Dadar named 'Manohar Arjun Surve' aka 'Manya Surve' 
became underworld gangster in Mumbai in late 80s. He was killed by Police in encounter in 1982. John Abraham is playing the lead role of Manya Surve. Earlier Amitabh Bachchan's character 'Vijay Dinanath Chavan' from the cult film 'Agnipath' was based on 'Manya'. 

This film is based on 'Manya's real story from the book DONGRI TO DUBAI: SIX DECADES OF THE MUMBAI MAFIA written by Mumbai based journalist S.Hussain Zaidi. 

                    Trailer looks good but we are missing 'SANJAY DUTT' here.
